What is PageRank?
PageRank is Google’s patented method of determining a website’s relevance
which then determines where the website appears on a Google search page. It was developed by Google co-founder Larry Page while working on his PhD at Stanford University.
Why is it important?
Google is the most visited website, and therefore most visited search engine, in the world. Understanding the methods and tools needed to achieve a high PageRank is integral to a website’s success. (see link building)
